HUMOR AND
HEART, ALWAYS

I came to filmmaking by way of a computer science degree and an MBA — training that taught me how to create systems, lead teams and find resources. My films live in sci-fi, fantasy and magical realism, and they almost always come back to family — told with humor and heart.

An artist-led 501(c)(3) I co-founded in 2015. More than 1,400 members strong, supporting artists of African descent through education, production, and community. It is the least glamorous and most useful work I've done.
